This book is extremely helpful for all aspiring lawyers, if it wasn't part of my law school's curriculum. I could envision my self seeking it as a guide

Useful book if the professor actually used it.
Opened it two times. But at least I had it and looked good in class.
I wish this book had been required in my first-year legal writing course. I am now a fourth-year law student (doing a joint degree program), and I have completed two legal summer internships. Still, until reading this book, I had not found a clear explanation for how to properly distill legal frameworks from ambiguous case law. Especially helpful were the sections on identifying the relevant fact categories (pp. 90-101), performing analysis under the analogy framework (pp. 108-111), and approaching counter-analysis (pp. 111-112). I found the rest of the book to be a repeat of what I had learned in my first-year legal writing course, but it was still very good to review. This book has really boosted my confidence in legal pre-writing, and I only wish I had found this book and the pre-writing strategies contained within earlier!
Very insightful and easy to read text. Although book is required reading I found no issue with following the text or staying interested.
